VIDEO: Highlight of Stamford, CT

Town Tour

What is Stamford know for?

Moving out of NYC to any place is a strenuous and often scary process. You question everything. Will you have access to parks, a variety of dining options, how would the commute to the city be to see friends or go to work, will anyone visit me? and the list from there goes on. What many people do not know is that the Fairfield part of Connecticut has something for everyone. If your goal is to be in an environment that is very similar to NYC watch this video to get a sense of what is offered just 50 minutes outside of Manhattan.

Stamford is home to 123,000 residents and it is more than twice the size of Manhattan. It is also home to many Fortune 500 companies and other small to large sized financial corporations. It’s a city that is immersed in the performing arts, entertainment, dining opportunities, scenic parks with a fun and lively atmosphere. You will always find something to do here.

Located just 35 miles from Manhattan you can get to Grand Central in 47 minutes via train or 60 minutes by car. Stamford has an array of beaches, golf courses, parks, restaurants, rooftop cocktail bars and cafes. Stamford hosts tons of outdoor concerts and events in the summer and it even has its own Chelsea Piers. Out of all of the towns in Fairfield County, I find Stamford to be most similar to NYC in its conveyance, liveliness and wide range of condo buildings. The average price of a single family home here is $1,036,000 and you can find homes between $350,000 and up to $10,000,000 +. If you are looking for a waterfront property, Stamford has plenty of those too.
